![]() In this volume, Copyright 1911, is the second of two volumes of The Innocents Abroad, also known as The New Pilgrim’s Progress, a chronicle of Twain’s traveling adventures along the Mediterranean into Europe and ultimately to the Holy Land. Each volume has a single drawing related to the contents, a standardized title page, and the inscription “This is the authorized Uniform Edition of my books. This is Volume 12 from the 1922 set of Author’s National Edition of The Writing of Mark Twain. The Innocents Abroad is one of the most prominent and influential travel. The cover is a dark green and the spine has golden foil lettering. First edition published in 1881, this is a latter printing with the ads dated 1886. There is a separation between the table of contents and title pages, but overall the text block remains intact. Although the pages are yellowed, they are still attractive and readable. The library that previously held this book has placed stamps on the inside front cover. GOOD: This book is from the early 20th Century and is in excellent condition for a book of this age. ![]()
